Portland Round the Rock 10km, 28/4/2012

This is the 'before' the race photo - if you look carefully, you can see they all have goose-bumps as it was so cold and blowing a gale!

    I would never have believed that I could go from a non-runner to running 6 miles around Portland in just a few months. I loved the training, I love running with other people and I was so proud that we made it round in under an hour, despite Mel’s injury. Running as part of a team has made a big difference to my motivation and I really recommend it to anyone thinking of giving it a go.

      Injuries are little set backs that makes us realise we can bend and break as well as grow and thrive;-0

      You will come back stronger and with a greater understanding and respect for your body… I know it’s a hard time. i have had so many injuries int he past and there is nothing more frustrating than seeing another day go past and you can’t do whatt u long to do – but it will suddenly get better and you will be well on you way again…. Tits up, out and pointed North… see you tomorrow xxxxxx
