WEEK TWO

Hi everyone

how has your first week gone then? Pleased with your efforts? I know the rain was a nuisance at times.

David and i got caught in a brief shower on Tuesday, but Thursday and today were lovely. Today especially.

Early morning mist and sun and I wore gloves - first time this year!

Feeling good with our efforts today, David ran over 11 (in training for a half mara in few weeks)

I did 7 miles and apart form a bit of stiffness in my back - enjoyed it all and felt good. No toe pain thankfully!

Have a great week and Plan your days and your training and have a back up plan if the weather is dire and you don't want to train in it.

Hi Linz

Was feeling bit more positive on Friday but had a rubbish run this morning, shins so tight really painfull - looking forward to seeing Kim on Thursday. 🙁

Hi Helen

Think what you have doing this w/e........ In London...... Did you walkd the streets? Shopping - sightseeing??? Did you wear high heels going out to dinner?

These sort of things are lethal when you have niggling injuries - I have killed my back wearing sky high heels and then going dancing and the next day i can hardly move!! Just not used to heels........

Massage and Ice today and stretch and move on.... don't dwell on it... You're doing all you can, but a long injury takes a while to settle and Kim's massage would've caused some local swelling and tenderness too...

Hi runners, Dids and i did'nt run last Friday as planned. My chalfs were relly tight after step twice and 3 runs.That was 5 days on the trot. Then Sat i was beating all day. With the steep hills i felt like i had climbed 1 of the 3 peaks! But what a beautiful day, the views were amazing.
Rested Sunday. Tonight Dids and i ran 3 mls, i did it in my best time ever 27 mins 41 sec. Dids was in front of me by about 10 paces hench my best time, i was trying to keep up!
Did me good though.
We both feel ok.
So sorry your suffering Helan . I know what your going through and it's tough but keep at it.You will suddenly turn the corner and start to feel great.Trust me you will be fine.

I love your spelling Shirley Ann!!!! I think you mean CALF MUSCLES!!!! Glad you are feeling revived.. that is certainly a very good time for three miles...

Morning all.
6am alarm - which I woke well before - omg - so dark - but doesn't feel so cold - but then am inside, but sometimes u can smell the cold can't you?!

New shoes have arrived and they feel good so hoping for a comfortable run!

Hope your training is coming along. PLEASE talk to me on here - not doing this for my own pleasure!!! No 'I' in club!!!!!!!

Well I shall talk to myself then as you must be all out running??

I am feeling somewhat tender today - not really sure why - I ran at 7am Monday - 4.2miles.. Wed is a busy class day - morning, afternoon and evening!
Nicely spread out, but cumulative effort I suspect and I have just had hot bath to revive before FP tonight!

7am run tomorrow - anyone else out training early?? We never see a soul on our route - strange how you can see everyone or noone! Keep on running;-) xx

Hi Lins, got my glasses on!
Dids and i ran 3mls before FP tonight in 29mins 41 secs.
We ran a different way and we both felt it was tougher.
More hills, thats why it took us a little longer i think.
It was a real rush to get to class, and my, what a killer that was.
We both ace from head to foot! But we really enjoyed it, thanks Lins.
Both out again Fri eve or Sat to run and hopefully get up to 4mls.
Nite nite, i know i will sleep tight x x

FRIDAY!! Don't usually run as have a 9.30am class which is leg-biased! But as I chickened out yesterday, I have to get it in today!

It feels quite warm and on Tuesday I wore gloves and kept them on the whole run, but did push my sleeves up- I do this often in the winter... My hands seem to take the longest to warm up.. Have been running with client and David and they push on just out of my comfort zone especially when there is an incline! Have you flet like you're on a piece of elastic yet and it's pulled to the limit and then you start going backwards??????!!!!
Tis good for me though and I just hang on as long as I can.

Hi Lins,Have not ran since last Wed. Got a lousy cold so have not felt up to it.
Weather has been so lovely too. Never mind, hope to go out tom early eve if i feel better.
Have you been out this weekend? Has anybody else from our group been out?

Oh what a shame missing out on the glorious weather this w/e - hope you feel better tomorrow..

David and I ran this morning and it was lovely.. D managed over 12 miles in a brilliant time - 1.37 hours and I did 7.5 miles.. Was lovely though have a weird pain in top of hip bone that troubled me for the last two miles - not sure what it is or even how it happened - I am hoping Karen can sort it on Tuesday!!

I am gonna send out a mass email tonight and see what everyone is up to as they are not coming on here!!
